Hours: Monday – Friday (8am-4pm)
Starting Salary: $46,570; salary commensurate with experience
Position Summary: Victim Advocate provides services to victims and witnesses of crime throughout Grand Jury process and trial process.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides victims and their family members, and witnesses information regarding all court hearings
- Acts as a liaison between victims and the Prosecutor
- Provides information on social service agencies that offer assistance to victims
- Bachelor Degree preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of legal proceedings and terms helpful
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from various social, economic and educational backgrounds
- Ability to handle large volume of calls/emails
- Must be organized and detail oriented
